1850

Tomás Cebado’s earliest foray into the world of men’s hairstyling. More than one century of experience.

1892

The 1st Cebado women’s hairstyling salon opened by Tomás Cebado, which is also the first women’s salon in Spain.

1915

Tomás and Ángel, sons of the founder, travel to Paris to learn the trade and the new techniques that were being created. They stayed there for three years.

1934

After the death of Tomás Cebado, the salon on Barcelona’s Ramblas is closed.

1935

Ángel opens his own salon at number 72, Rambla de Cataluña.

1954

At the age of 20, Alberto Cebado becomes the Champion of Spain and gets to know Paris and the latest trends of the day.

1960

Alberto Cebado, great-grandson of the founder, begins to work with his father Eduardo in the salon on Rambla de Cataluña.

1963

Alberto Cebado sets off on his own to open his first salon at number 7, Ronda General Mitre in Barcelona.

1965

Rafael Contijoch, "my right-hand man and best friend" according to Alberto Cebado, joins the Cebado company.

1973

Cebado is once again a pioneer by launching franchises. By forming teams of associates who saw and understood hairstyling the way he did, the company understood that the best formula for growth was the franchise.

1978

The first training centre is created in Barcelona.
The job of transmitting techniques and trends gets underway.

1982

The René Rambaud Prize, considered the Oscar of hairstyling, is awarded to Alberto Cebado.

1992

The company celebrates its centennial.

2000

The new training facilities open in Barcelona.
More than 1000 m2 for training our teams.

2002

Anniversary of the start of our company.

2003

The first Cebado salon with an urban spa opens in Lleida.

2004

A new salon opens in Madrid.

2005

The corporate entertainment channel Cebado Televisión, is created.

2006

The number of Cebado hairstyling salons expands. New regions in Spain join Cebado.

2007

Our Image Team works in different countries around the world showing the techniques and trends that are a benchmark in the hairstyling sector each season.

2009

New salons open in Fraga, Zaragoza, Barcelona and Valencia.

2010

Cebado crosses the European borders and opens their first salon in New York, EEUU.

2012

Cebado is 120 years old.
